DVD Authoring
We offer high-quality DVD authoring services using Apple DVD Studio Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, and Adobe After Effects. We offer all the bells and whistles of a major motion picture DVD release, including motion menus, sound effects, and extra audio tracks.
Tape-to-DVD Copy: $75
Includes:
- Up to 120 minutes of continuous video (from 1 source tape)
- Hardware-based Video copy from DVCAM, miniDV, 8mm, Hi8, VHS, or VHS-C
- Default "Philips" DVD Recorder screen with video thumbnail menu
- No auto start; user must press "PLAY" button on DVD player to start video
- DOES NOT include chapter points
- 1 DVD-R master disc
Basic DVD Package: $250
Includes:
- Up to 30 minutes of video (from 1 source tape)
- Software-based Video Encoding from DVCAM, miniDV, 8mm, Hi8, VHS, VHS-C, or Quick Time
- Optional start screen with title and prompt to press "play" (default blue background)
- Optional automatic chapter points every 3 minutes
- Add $2 per additional minute of video (up to 90 minutes total)

Custom DVD Package: $750
Includes:
- Up to 60 minutes of video (from 1 source tape)
- Software-based Video Encoding from DVCAM, miniDV, 8mm, Hi8, VHS, VHS-C, or Quick Time
- Static menu from a choice of backgrounds, or supply your own graphic
- Up to 8 custom chapter points
- Add $5 per additional custom chapter point
- Add $2 per additional minute of video (up to 120 minutes)

Deluxe DVD Package: $1,500
Includes:
- Up to 120 minutes of video (from 2 source tapes)

- Embed Sound FX or background music into menu (up to :30 loop)
- Up to 20 custom chapter points
- Add $5 per additional custom chapter point

Hollywood DVD Package: Starting at $5,000
Includes:
- DVD-5 or DVD-9 authoring
- Our professional designers will dazzle you with all the tricks of the trade so your DVD looks and performs like a Hollywood DVD releases.
- Options include Hardware-based Video Encoding, motion menus, sound FX, music, transitions, commentary audio track, foreign language translations, and more.

† Important notice about proofing
All DVD authoring jobs include software verification (proofing) and manual proofing by a human (yes, a Real Live Person). Our technicians will insert the master DVD into a DVD player connected to a TV and watch the entire video to ensure there are no authoring glitches. This service is included in the price of the FIRST DVD PROOF ONLY. If you have revisions to the DVD and require an additional DVD, then proofing will be billed at $35/hr. Unless you sign a waiver, proofing is required before any master is shipped.

Delivery of DVD master:
All projects include regular USPS postage to a continental U.S.A. address. We will send via UPS or FedEx using your account number at no additional charge. If you require rush delivery and do not have a UPS or FedEx account number, then shipping charges will be billed to you.
