No, we didn’t get a group rate on blood pressure meds. This giant pill bottle is part of UF Ad Society’s Ad Council campaign titled Just What the Doctor Ordered. Very clever.
Ad Society, University of Florida’s chapter of the American Advertising Federation, invited me to serve on Ad Council last Thursday, October 7. Ad Council is a group of advertising professionals who give guidance and career advice to students. We met with groups of students throughout the day in Weimer Hall, then headed over to The Swamp for a meet and greet with members of Ad Society.
Some of the council members have been around since my years in Ad Society (1997-1999). Talk about experienced! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the council members and students. What an amazing group!
Thank you Dr. Sutherland, Lisa Duke Cornell, Ad Council members, Ad Society, and all of the wonderful students. I had a fabulous time!

Thanks Indya and Erin. I enjoyed our conversations. Contact my wife Sonja if you want a woman’s opinion about working in a small agency. Just shoot a message to her through https://www.motionbuzz.com/contact
Good luck with everything!

I’m a student at UF and attended Ad Council this semester. It was such a great experience meeting advertising professionals Thomas Gapinski and Norm Grey. It gave me insight to the current advertising industry and put a face on what I learn in my advertising classes. I want to thank them for taking the time to come and talk to us.

I am also a student at UF and had a great time with Ad Council. I’ve gone for two years now and every time I go I learn something new about the advertising world. Hope everyone can make it back in the spring for the next one!
